Shere Hill Climb

The final line up for the 5th running of Shere Hill Climb has been agreed and it will be the best line up in the event’s history. On September 3rd, the field will boast 170 cars (40% more than last year) to run the hill, plus there will be vintage motorbikes (courtesy of Brooklands Museum) and all will be tackling the 1.1 mile 300ft ascent course from 9am. The field builds on the organizers’ quest for variety and this year is definitely a ‘triumph of the eclectic’ for any UK hillclimb.

Some of the highlights include 1907 Berliet, 2017 McLaren 570s, de Tomaso Pantera, Angela Hume’s much raced AC Ace, Fords, Jaguars – E type, XK140 and modern, Audi Quattro and many many more . . .

This year, there will also be a lunchtime Supercar feature. A rare Jaguar XJ220, an iconic Lamborghini Muira once owned by Bernie Ecclestone and a Ford GT. As well as all the amazing cars to see, there will be a grass Autotest (which anyone can have a go at) a huge array of sponsor partners showing cars and bikes, food and beverage stands with something for everyone, attractions for
children and of course it is all set with great views from the north downs – a perfect family day out.
