Cranleigh Indoor Market – Autumn 2018

The Indoor Market has been a well established feature of Cranleigh life for over fifteen years. Originally launched as an Antiques Fair concentrating on a variety of rare and collectable items from yesteryear, the Fair has now evolved to become the present all-inclusive Market. The change of name reflects the current range of stalls to be found, many of which sell new and up-to-date goods alongside those who are continuing the tradition of specialising in bygones.

Many stalls are regular and have a permanent site each time, whereas others choose to attend less often, possibly just once each month. Goods on offer include new and branded clothing, high quality jewellery, leather goods, cosmetics, retro fashions, books (old and new), toys, vinyl records and glassware. Crafts of all kinds (including original artwork and animal portraits) can also be found – commissions ready for Christmas gifts taken! Another popular stall is kept busy with local philatelists eager to see which rare stamps are being offered on the day!

The Market is held on two Thursdays each month in the Cranleigh Village Hall, so as to coincide with the general market held next door. Hot food and drinks are provided by our catering team, who can also provide homemade food to take away.

The organisers are seeking to expand the number of retailers and start-up entrepreneurs further, ready for the pre-Christmas season. The re-launch begins on Thursday 6th September, then continues on ’20/9′, ‘4 & 18/10’, ‘1 & 15/11’, and ‘6 & 20/12’, times 8.30 until 3.00. The Village Hall and associated advertising has to be covered so the cost for each stall (already supplied!) is £10 for the first time and then £25 thereafter.
