2024 sees the Cranleigh and District Lions Club mark fifty years of service to our community. Our club was chartered in August 1974 and now has 56 members who give their time, their energy and their expertise to the raising of monies for local projects and good causes. The Club enjoys a low turnover of membership, with many of its members having served for over a decade. Sadly, our last remaining founder member Phill Tilbury, with 49 years of service to the community, passed away in 2023. The Lion year runs from July through to June and in 2022/3 the Club was able to donate over £100,000 in support of individuals and families in need plus many other local good causes.
We raise money through a variety of fun, inclusive events and activities held in and around Cranleigh village. Why not go to our website www.cranleighlions.org where you will find more information about the Club, the events and the activities upcoming, or to make an online donation?
You can follow Cranleigh & District Lions Club on both Facebook and Instragram.
Our next event will be the Village Carnival on Saturday 29th June. We do hope to see you there. When you see a smiling ‘Lion’ with a collecting bucket, please do give what you can to make this, our golden year, really special so we can help even more people in our community.
