The AGM on March 10th saw the committee re-elected en-mass and a significant change was approved to the constitution.
At this AGM the members voted by the requisite majority of over 67%, to change the constitution wording defining acceptance of members. The relevant sentence now reads: The membership shall be open to all business and professional persons resident in Cranleigh and the surrounding district who have fully or partly retired. This gender neutral definition means applications can be made to attend any lunch as a guest to experience the club’s ethos and comradeship by anyone whos fully or partly retired.
Cranleigh Probus A Club is not meeting for the monthly lunches during the current health emergency. It is hoped that by June or July the lunches, including speakers, could resume.
