On the 14th of January 2020, Roger Nash will be speaking about “The Cokelars of the Surrey /Sussex border villages 1850-1970”. He will answer the questions who were they, who was their leader? Accounts of their conflicts, worship, joyous funerals and “combination shops” will be presented. The local communities at Loxwood and Shamley Green will be of special interest.
The lunch will take place at the Cranleigh Golf and Country Club on Barhatch Lane where members and guests will assemble from noon on. New attendees are welcome for any lunch and to hear speakers on the second Tuesday of every month.
