This August, a new boutique festival comes to West Sussex. ‘Jazz, Gin and Blues’ will take place in the tranquil glade at Loxwood Meadow An intimate crowd of just 500 people will enjoy a stellar line-up of jazz and blues artists in a sheltered woodland setting.

The line-up includes DJ Alan Milliner from Shoreditch jazz institution Jazz Train, Blue Note and beyond from Harry Greene Quintet, Latin Fusion from Paz, big band sounds from Simon Bates Big Band and blues from Tim Staffell & Paul Stewart, Tim Staffell’s 1970s band Smile, featuring Roger Taylor and Brian May, later went on to find success with Freddie Mercury, as Queen.

The festival features a number of independent local gin producers, including Cabin Pressure Spirits, Slake Spirits, Madame Jennifer Distillery and The Gin Kitchen. Real ale will be provided by the award-winning Langham Brewery with Loxwood Meadworks providing heritage brews, re-imagined for the 21st century. Guests can enjoy a number of local heritage food stalls with plenty of vegetarian options.
