The Loxwood Joust

The Loxwood Joust is a family day of mediaeval revelry and mayhem, with knights in battle, jousting displays, a mediaeval market place, entertainers, children’s games area and living history village.

Joust
Each day from 10am to 6pm.  The Loxwood Joust’s unrivalled programme of mediaeval revelry guarantees a day out like no other.  A fast-paced, all action jousting tournament will amaze and astound whilst daring displays of weaponry, archery and cannon fire will enthral as fully armoured knights prepared to meet in a thunderous battle.  Wander the massive Living History Village in the ‘Field of Banners’ – totally authentic recreation of a mediaeval battle camp and browse the Mediaeval Market Place in the ‘Hamlet of Loxwood’ where traders and hawkers vie for your attention as companies of actors, wandering minstrels, the Court Jester and dance troupes entertain and delight throughout the day.

Banquet
Commencing at 1.30pm, the Lord’s Luncheon offers 4 tantalising courses. This is an unprecedented opportunity to experience and to savour exquisite and authentic recreations of the mediaeval nobleman’s salver with dishes of the finest fayre designed both for the traditional palate and also for those avowed not to eat meat, the old adage “a feast fit for a King” has never been more appropriate! And all enhanced with entertainment from court jesters, live music and riddlers – so start practising your banter!
