Oakwood Business Consultants is celebrating the latest achievements of a key member of its staff team, Camilla Hills, who has recently passed her accountancy qualification with ease and has already started her next challenge.
Jane O’Leary, Managing Director of Oakwood Business Consultants, says: “As Oakwood’s founder and owner, it is so satisfying to see my staff progress professionally. Camilla has ‘sailed through’ her exams; she’s made us really proud! Nurturing our own talent is very much part of our ethos and is a great asset to our business. One of the reasons we are able to attract quality staff who show commitment to Oakwood – and our customers – is because they understand we are interested in their professional development.”
Having joined Oakwood as an apprentice just six years ago, Camilla continued her studies while working. She has just completed levels 2 and 3 of the Association of Accounting Technicians and has begun the level 4 course.
Jane O’Leary established Oakwood, which is based in Cranleigh, in 2000 and since then has grown the business to provide consultancy and advice services on all aspects of accountancy, taxation and employment to small and medium sized businesses and private individuals. The team has grown to seven members of staff and has a new apprentice joining in August.
Oakwood has supported Camilla through her studies, which were largely done online enabling her to complete much of the course at both home and work.
