There are so many things to remember on a day-to-day basis in the busyness of family life and work, so revisiting history to remember the details of people’s lives and incidents that have happened in Cranleigh through time, is challenging.
However, it’s worth doing it! Not just for our own sake but for future generations. It’s our history, it’s what we build on, learning from both our failures and successes as we go.
Thankfully most things were handed down by word of mouth or written down over time and now, almost everything is recorded, filmed or texted on social media-nothing is hidden!
So let’s not forget the sacrifices made by our parents who brought us up but also those who gave the ultimate sacrifice.
