Every Tuesday from 1st June through 14th September (no service 7th September) The Sunset Steam Express will leave London’s Victoria Station at 18:15 for a three and a half hour round trip through the Surrey Hills – an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty – serving drinks and dinner on the way.
Pulled by the ‘Mayflower’ in its original British Rail apple green livery, the train will head south across the suburbs of London, pass through Guildford and take the steep climb through the Surrey Hills before descending the Vale of Holmesdale and back to Victoria via the market towns of Dorking and Reigate.
Priced from £139 per person travelling Pullman Style Dining, Premium Dining from £109pp whilst a standard ticket at £59 offers seating at tables where snacks can be purchased and picnics welcomed.
