Following a sell out concert last February, we are pleased to announce that the Band are returning to Cranleigh Arts in February 2023.
The band formed some sixteen years ago by Ron, started out just to play for fun. As it developed, it has grown into a very competent semi- professional band playing at dance venues, weddings, parties and concerts including Wentworth Golf Club and the Amex stadium at Brighton & Hove FC. They have also performed regularly at Cranleigh Arts.
The band are mostly local and are now under the musical direction of Xav Riley, a very accomplished musician from Ewhurst.
The normal band line up is 5 Saxophones, 3 Trumpets, 3 Trombones, plus a rhythm section of piano, bass, guitar and drums, together with a female singer.
You can expect to hear music from many of the great jazz composers and arrangers.
This concert is a fantastic opportunity to enjoy live music from a talented local band and support a vibrant Arts Centre, keeping live music in Cranleigh.
