Hi, I’m Barbara. Over a decade ago I was looking for a change of career, having worked in offices for a number of years, I wanted to do something completely different. I thought at the age of 50 that I had left this too late but was excited to learn that the beauty industry had made great advances in technology and being a very technical person, this was very attractive to me so I did my two years at college and haven’t looked back since. I started in a very small salon in Dorking, no more than 150 ft.², into which I squeezed a full-on salon. The business took off and within two years I had moved into larger premises employing three therapists and offering a wide range of treatments on the same Square in St. Martin’s Walk, Dorking. In that time I have developed my skills and invested in state-of-the-art technology and machines to increase the scope of treatments I was able to offer.
